Heart Whispering

In the tropical jungles of the Phillippines,
I sought forgiveness for my many heart trespasses.
Gleaning heart knowledge from one Healer to the next,
seeking relationship atonement
was going to be a hard go.
I discovered a harsh reality from one Healer we visited. 
He was stout, with a wily smile, 
known for his relationship mending.

We were deep in a Cebu jungle.
It was muggy and still.
Our group gathered around and he went by each of us 
and motioned to go into his sanctuary,
just beyond the front waiting area.
When he came to sweating profusely me he motioned to stay.
I was the only one left in the front room.
He then took the others to another part of his sanctuary.
I heard their laughter.
Looking around there was a pulpit, benches, a Santo Nino and Mother Mary.
I sat down at the end of a pew.
Just only for a second, as He returned holding a bible.
He motioned me to come forward in front of the Santo Nino,
and to bend forward.
I thinking....great an atonement for my bad relationship behavior
and to find my heart again.
And,
I must be special since I was the only one in this room with him.
He came around to my back,
slapped the bible on my sweaty back and said,
"Don't let it drop".
He left for the cool inner rooms of the sanctuary where the others were waiting.
Dripping,
feeling the bible slipping
I thought what if it falls off?!
Will I be damned to hell?

The bible stuck
probably because I was sweating so much.
As the sun began to set,
I managed to get the bible to sit in the curve of my back.
The rest of our group began filing out.
Some came over and asked if I was alright.
Some went outside to get away from the demon me.
The Healer came up to me.
”Did your heart say something?”
I said, “no not really”.
”Bible say something?”
”Don’t drop me,” I responded.
He said, “Good job bible”, and
removed it from my back.
WTF, I was thinking.
I stood up straight and he put his hand on my heart.
”What’s it saying now.”
I listened.
Too quiet and inaudible words.
”Ask your heart to speak up.”
I did
and that’s when my voice,
Or maybe it was just my inner me said,
”This is the place where your truth awaits.”
The Healer grinned at me.
I grimaced back at him.
”Time to go; time to love.” he chuckled.
I slowly walked out into the softening twilight.

Heart Whispering ~ What is it?

Heart Whispering 
is a form of listening to one's own or another's heart beat. 
I have learned this profound way of healing,
from several indigenous healers and animals.
Listening with intention and focus allows 
the relationships,
the heartbreak,
and growth the Soul has experienced to be expressed. 
A unique heart symphony that can be reframed and healed.
Past lives and generational trauma all neatly identified through 
heart whispering.
When I come to an impasse with a client through dialog,
I direct our listening to the heart. 
There lies notes left by our emotions that lead us to discover,
as I learned from the Filipino Healer so long ago,
"This is the place where your truth awaits."
