Honestly….It’s Abe~ism

Abraham Lincoln's Republican Democracy...wisdom from our past.

June 07, 1864
No. 5    Resolve of the 1864 Republican Platform
President Abraham Lincoln

5. Resolved,
That we approve and applaud the practical wisdom, the unselfish patriotism and the unswerving fidelity to the Constitution and the principles of American liberty, with which ABRAHAM LINCOLN has discharged, under circumstances of unparalleled difficulty, the great duties and responsibilities of the Presidential office; that we approve and indorse, as demanded by the emergency and essential to the preservation of the nation and as within the provisions of the Constitution, the measures and acts which he has adopted to defend the nation against its open and secret foes; that we approve, especially, the Proclamation of Emancipation, and the employment as Union soldiers of men heretofore held in slavery; and that we have full confidence in his determination to carry these and all other Constitutional measures essential to the salvation of the country into full and complete effect.

Family, Friends, Community,

At 17,
I decided to become a Republican.
Can't say I truly knew why,
other than
it was Abraham Lincoln's party.
All resolves, most of the 1864 constitution
and Lincoln's democracy,
is transposed
in today's Republican platform.
I'd place money down
on today's Republican party
resembling past and current
autocratic manifestos
such as Mein Kampf.

Back to 17 year old me.
My choice was born from a mixture of civics classes,
my family's incarceration during WW2
and
teenage angst of wanting to be the opposite
of my parents.
Proof
that one can
live in Berkeley,
be a Vegetarian,
a Cheerleader,
Poet,
Nerd,
wear Birkenstocks,
and be a Republican.

Mostly,
it was the teachings of Abraham Lincoln
I chose Republican.
I elevated him to Buddha status.
Honest.
Goodness over correctness.
Moral obligation.
Liberty  Fraternity  Equality
Merit over favoritism.
All good these beliefs,
until,
my first presidential election.
Republican I,
couldn't find "The It" in Gerald Ford.
My hard lean towards goodness,
18 year old mind
was all in for a peanut farmer from Georgia.
Bless you President Carter,
holding at 100 years young
to vote in this election.

As my mind wised up,
I began understanding
our interconnectedness.
The merging of consciousness
and the manifestations of intent.
Holding true Lincoln's ethos,
I lurched forward to be a Liberal Activist.
Protesting for Racial Equality,
Women's Freedom,
Greenpeace,
Renewable Energy and Sustainable Agriculture.
My Birkenstocks and love for Abe still were in.
Political tribalism faded as I matured.
I began to look for the heart and mind of Abe in my leaders.
There wasn't any settling for
Democrat, Republican, Socialist, Marxist, Independent, Green, Libertarian.
Just an intuition married with my transcendent mind,
and,
abide by two tenets,
the first is mine; the other Abe's.

We are all a part of the Earth.

“When I do good, I feel good.
When I do bad, I feel bad.
That's my religion.”

"We are not going back,"
is the anthem for the Democratic party this election.
I have to differ,
for there is one Republican ideal that I've gone back,
fetched
and when the opportunity arises,
remind us of it's importance in
this perfectly imperfect
21st century democracy
and that is Abe's Republican manifesto.

I have traveled the world to study with healers, mystics, ancient wisdoms, herbalists, scientists and indigenous medical practitioners.
Partly, my insatiable curiosity of how others connect with the Earth and spiritual worlds.
Mostly, for my love of Nature.
I have one foot in the practical; gratefully due to my 30+ years as a business consultant and the other foot in the unseen, unexplainable and miraculous world.

My sessions are a journey of discovery.
You learn how to mentally, emotionally and physically commandeer where you want to go.
You divest antiquated cultural beliefs, anxiety, trauma, a busy occupied mind, physical addictions and emotional attachments from this lifetime or another.
We will merge your intuitive internal navigation with your dynamic resilient personality.

How?
I bring a diverse range of modalities to our sessions.
Ayurveda, herbalism, meditation, science, mystery schools, animal intelligence, aromatherapy, colour, sound and experiential tutoring and retreats.
Most importantly, a fine tuned ear that listens to you and your life's story.
Together we will fortify the parts of you that will dance your way through any bump in the road.
You will know when your body, mind and soul are aligned.
If you get off course, you will have your own uniqe tools to navigate towards an empowered you.
The Universe will never throw anything in your path that you can't manage.

Let's trek,
and
live a life well loved.
