I Voted for Beloved
Family, Friends, Community,
I voted for the fertile soil that nourishes all beings.
I voted for the children who's only lullaby is mortar fire.
I voted for the displaced families seeking home.
I voted for commonwealth Earth to win her fight from our disregard.
I voted for all sentient beings; four legged, winged, finned and scaled.
I voted for being colour blind when we look at another.
I voted for moral compasses that uphold law, justice and divine order.
I voted for the Earth stewards who tend and till the land.
I voted for a woman's body held sovereign.
I voted for my grandparents, parents, those on the other side
who fought to give me freedom.
I voted for charity, empathy and the greater good.
I voted for more holiday time
to cultivate a mind, a dream, a family, a garden, a community.
I voted for a free border between life and death.
I voted for Beloveds.
All In
For Love,
M
