Prayers for Nepal

Om Gam Ganapataya Namaha
Shanti Shanti Om
Om, I bow to Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles.
Peace Peace Om

In the late Autumn of 2012, I and my Irish friends had an extraordinary pilgrimage to the Himalayas.
Annapurna, Machapuchre; Shiva’s birthplace and all the joy filled Nepalese villages that carved a spiritual nest on this at times unforgiving mountain scape.
Our Guides; Padam, Dinesh and Prabin, with quiet expertise led us up the Annapurna trail.
Women, men, children; south of 60 and young ones, jogging up the incline sometimes with large bundles of fuel, food and provisions.
“Namaste, Namaste, Namaste”, wide smiles, welcoming chai stops, as we slowly (especially me) made our way up to 16,000 feet.
We desiring to leave our blessings at the foot of Shiva’s birthplace Machapuchre and the mighty Annapurna South mountain range.
Machapuchre, the sacred Hindu mountain formed at Earth’s first growth spurt, a fishtail diving into the Himalayas.
’Twas a heart opening trek.
And now,
as I watch the force of a glacier melt
pummeling,
obliterating,
perishing all life
my heart is heavy for all the
gentle beings
that choose to carve a life along the fingers of the Himalayas.

Humans,
She is calling us to attention.
Our Earth is doing what She does best; seeks equilibrium.
How best to cool down an overheated planet?
Add water.

There is a great transition at this time,
for many to transcend to Source.
Humans,
Creatures,
Flora,
with this transition,
they remind us of
the power of our hearts to lessen suffering
and to choose compassion for all.

May All Beings Be Safe and Find Peace

Love,
M
