Heart Open
Beloveds,
The crab apple trees nearby are showing off their blossoms.
I in my cloaked mood, brushing the discontent from my eyes,
focused on these determined blossoms.
Cues me from a winter's rest.
The blooms elbow my heart,
as the speedster hummingbirds search for the nectar.
Beatles streaming;
Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun do, do, do
Here comes the sun
And I say it's all right.
And it's all right.
Humans knocked up with hate.
Choosing deceit, deception, derision.
I huddle to make friends with opposites.
The yin yang clang of ever present change.
Detente resolute in my heart.
As the arc of the sun warms our Earth
the cold war gives way to heat.
Honesty Fidelity Love
blossoms in the growing light.
And it's all right.
Little Darlings, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Swaddling this email in a warm embrace.
Joyous 4718 Lunar New Year!
Sweetest Saint Valentine's Day!
Aumwards,
M
Our 4th Chakra - Heart Open
Anahata is the Hindu word for our heart chakra. Translated from Sanskrit it means unstruck, unhurt, unbeaten heart. Yogis associated the heart with sound and when one can feel the sound of Aum in the heart negativity can be purged from our being.
If you find yourself struck, hurt and beaten by the cold moodiness of the season; go inward. Nourish your heart chakra. Your body never lies. Entrain your body to a higher octave of self awareness. There peace resides.
A fitting time of the season to Undo any coldness in the Heart Chakra and serenade our Inner Valentine.
Commune with Nature.
I can find my way home to the heart in nature by going outside. Ground to the Earth. The 1st chakra thrives when we feel our connection to the Earth.
Create.
Stimulate your creative channels. Using your creative 2nd chakra supports your upper chakras especially when feeling blue. I've been a fiend brewing up new formulas. Mucking up my kitchen/laboratory and loving the process. I don't necessarily am rewarded with a flawless new potion yet the feeling of creativity awakens my lower chakras and satisfaction.
Nourish.
Eat foods that support your body. Warm up your Solar Plexus 3rd chakra. Dark leafy greens, soups, whole grains like oatmeal and plant based protein.
My herbal go-to during the winter months or stressful times is Hawthorne.
Hawthorne as an aromatic or tincture is one of the best remedies for heart imbalances. Heart function, blood vessels, chest pain, low/high blood pressure, atherosclerosis, high cholesterol and irregular heartbeat.
The scent hits the brain as a huge fizzy ball of relaxation and any tension that may be lingering from the day sieves through One's neurotransmitters and Yes....dopamine pervades. It's one of my Apothycaria mainstays. A relaxant in my tinctures, oxygenator for my facial tonics and mender of broken hearts.
Nap.
Taking a short nap allows our bodies to slow down and recalibrate our endocrine system especially during times of stress. Restoration is one of the best menders of our 4th chakra; our heart.
